About the Role

The IT Systems & Software Manager is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving Elitavia’s entire IT and software environment—including SaaS platforms, on-premise systems, integrations, and data flows. This role ensures all systems work seamlessly together, driving reliability, security, compliance, and efficiency while enabling innovation across the organization.
Acting as both the Nominated Person Responsible for Information Security Management under EASA Part IS and the Data Protection Officer (DPO), the manager safeguards information security, data integrity, and regulatory compliance, with particular responsibility for GDPR requirements. In addition to providing hands-on technical expertise and project leadership.
The role collaborates with business teams and works closely with Elitavia’s external IT service provider and dedicated IT security company to streamline processes, enhance security and reliability, and evolve IT capabilities in line with strategic growth.

Duties:

  • Software Portfolio & Integration: Manage and optimize all enterprise applications (SaaS, on‑prem, custom). Ensure interoperability and maintain integrations (APIs, automation/iPaaS). Maintain application inventory and governance.
  • Optimization & Evolution: Propose new tools and improvements with clear ROI; lead rationalization, upgrades, migrations. Champion workflow automation and user adoption.
  • Core IT Operations: Oversee Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), identity & access (Azure AD/Entra ID), endpoint management, backups, disaster recovery. Provide Tier 2/3 support and lead IT projects.
  • Information Security Management (EASA Part IS): Maintain and improve the ISMS; define policies, conduct risk assessments, manage incidents, and audits.
  • Data Protection Officer (GDPR): Oversee GDPR compliance, including RoPA, DPIAs, DSARs, breach response. Act as contact for supervisory authorities.
  • Governance & Vendor Management: Ensure compliance with GDPR, EASA Part IS, and ISO 27001. Manage vendors, contracts, SLAs, renewals, and optimization.
  • External Partners & Service Delivery: Coordinate with Elitavia’s IT service provider and IT security company on SLAs, incidents, audits, vulnerability management, and continuous improvements, ensuring compliance with EASA Part IS and GDPR.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
  • Relevant certifications desirable (e.g., Microsoft 365/SharePoint, CompTIA, ITIL, ISO 27001, CIPP/E, CIPM).

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years managing IT systems, software portfolios, and integrations.
  • Proven Microsoft 365 and IT infrastructure expertise.
  • Experience in ISMS and GDPR/DPO responsibilities.
  • IT project management and deployments experience.

 

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure and integrations.
  • Practical GDPR/DPO experience (RoPA, DPIAs, DSARs, breaches).
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365, Azure, identity & access, automation.
  • Programming/scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript, C#) a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management.
  • Ability to balance strategy with hands‑on delivery.
